| Camberley |
| Camberly is a "00" gauge model in
4mm scale by Roger Bottomley who has just taken over the Secretaries
post at the club. The model is permanently fitted in a room at his home
so will not be able to be taken to exhibitions. The pictures below show the model not yet completed, but a good start has been made with Roger putting in many hours of work on the model. His wife Shirley has also assisted and is quite keen on doing the scenic work. (making a good job of it too) The model is a 2 track figure of 8 set out in an L shape with the crossover point at a raised level. When completed there will also be branches off this figure of 8 to a terminal station and loco yard with associated turntable. |

| 12 months on and steady
progress continues with Rogers project. I don't think he realised at the
time of starting this model just how much was involved. However a couple of years down the road and it is begining to look very realistic. Another couple of recent pictures (November 2006) are below. |

More scenic progress on the
layout with a start being made on the backscene and more buildings. The access hatch visable will be filled with a lift out games field in the future. |

As you can see, a lot more work has now been done but there is still a lot more to complete yet. The main station area and loco shed will be started in the near future allong with the goods yard. So there will be enough to keep Roger and Shirley quiet for some time yet.
